T-Rex Skull Cupcakes

We had fun making these T-Rex Skull Cupcakes. We made a batch of various dinosaur cupcakes and these were my four year old's favorite. T-Rex is his favorite dinosaur because he's big and he's a meat-eater.

The T-Rex skull is made from edible rice paper which the boys thought was amusing and weird. "You can't eat paper!" It wasn't particularly tasty, but it was smeared with jelly so they happily ate it.

I cut the T-Rex skulls out by hand. With two dinosaur-mad boys in the house, I know what a T-Rex skeleton looks like!

Infatlatable Dinosaurs for your Party

These inflatable dinosaurs are brilliant for a dinosaur party. The big T-Rex and friend make very impressive room decorations without having to spend too much money. The kids will enjoy playing with them too.

We like that they are proper identifiable species of dinosaur like T-Rex, Triceratops, Steosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Brachiosaurus and Pterodactyl or Pteranodon.

The dinosaurs are around 30" in length or height so they're a great size for younger kids to interact with.

And the Pterodactyl (or is it a Pteranodon?) is just asking to be hung from the ceiling. Note that young dinosaur experts will point out that there weren't actually any flying dinosaurs, but there were flying reptiles around at the same time as the dinosaurs.

You could play blind man's dinosaur with these too. Blindfold a child and put an inflatable dinosaur in front of them. If they can work out which species it is then they get a small prize.

The dinosaur will surely get played with by your young dinosaur fan after the party too so they make an extra birthday gift. Or you could choose to use them as very impressive party favors if you don't have enough space to keep all of them.

Our boys got inflatable dinosaurs for Christmas and they quickly became part of the family!

Welcome to Dinosaur Party Ideas. I'm a Mom to two boys who love dinosaurs and all things prehistoric. My older son has had a dinosaur-themed birthday party for the last two years - for his third and fourth birthdays.

The dinosaur party theme is very popular at the moment especially with the popularity of shows like Dino Dan and Dinosaur Train. Both shows appeal to girls as well as boys. Dinosaurs for everyone!
